Eddyline Brewery is entering an exciting new phase of growth as it moves its operations from its current location into a new warehouse facility with great sea views. Our existing brewhouse will be retained as we bring in 4000L fermenters and brite tanks while we plan for a new and larger brewhouse. We are adding a counterpressure canning line due to arrive late April. Majority of our sales are from aggressively hopped IPAs and Pale Ales but make a line of lagers and will experiment with new beers and styles to be featured in our restaurant, pub, and tap accounts.
We are ideally looking for two production brewers. There will be multiple advancement opportunities as we grow our sales.
The production brewer will be responsible to produce high quality beers from established recipes by performing basic functions in the brewhouse based on sound scientific brewing principles. There will be opportunities to work with owners together to develop new recipes.
Responsible for production of Eddyline beers from ingredient assembly to packaging
Maintains brewery in a clean and safe manner while conserving utilities and resources.
Operates equipment cautiously and safely to prevent damage and maximize longevity.
Correctly and accurately weighs malt, hops, salts and brewing aids.
Works with management to maintain accurate records and helps enter data into Unleashed or similar ERP software.
Keeps accurate paper logs.
Maintains a clean and orderly work space.
Completes general cleaning tasks (sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, vacuuming and organizing).
Follows standard operating procedures to safely handle chemicals and hoses/vessels under pressure while wearing PPE.
Reports issues with any machines immediately.
Independently executes CIP/SIP as needed on equipment with little to no direction.
Looks at brew sheet and discerns boil start, kettle additions, boil end, WP addition and KO start time.
Performs other related duties as required or assigned. Willingness to learn new concepts, procedures, and methods.

Physical & Mental Requirements
Must have the physical and mental strength and endurance to be able to perform duties, at times in extreme environments, as well as the ability to handle the stresses of the position in operational and administrative situations. Must be a team player and able to get along well with others. Required to frequently lift and move up to 65 kgs (50L keg). Expected to stand, sit, walk, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, bend, talk, hear, taste, smell, see, and operate objects, tools, and controls.
